About a month ago, we did a “Coffee with Cyber Sherpas” webinar, just to poke our head out a little from secret, stealthy planning and setting our ambitions for Cyber Sherpas. That was fun and went well, and now we want to start on a regular series of community chats Zoom meetings.

What kind of chat will there be at Cyber Sherpas community chats?

The short answer is any kind you want. The longer one is we want these to be:

  • Part Ask Us Anything (AMA / AUA)
  • Part share your thoughts - tell us how your path to getting into cybersecurity or advancing in your cyber career is going, rant about ridiculous job descriptions, and anything else that’s on your mind
  • A chance to get to know how Cyber Sherpas can help you with our mentoring offerings
  • And, maybe most importantly, a place where we can learn from each others’ experiences

Some Possible ‘Get us Started” topics

  • How do I transition into cybersecurity from a non-IT background?
  • Which certifications should I get to start my cybersecurity career?
  • How can I gain hands-on experience without a job?
  • What are the different career paths in cybersecurity?

Those are just suggestions. The spirit of these community chats is that they’re wide open to any cybersecurity related topics or questions you have.
