Cyber Sherpas is one week old today - or it’s one week since I wrote a welcome post here anyway.

This event just a couple Saturdays from now is one of our favorite things that Brenna Meyer want to do lots of here. That is, just getting in a virtual room and hearing your questions and thoughts about getting into cybersecurity, or advancing in the field.

This will be a live video session on Google Meet, and you can bring any and all of your questions and thoughts to the table. Thoughts on how tough it is out there in the job market right now, or whatever is on your mind. Maybe one of these sort of subjects:

• Cyber Certifications – How to choose the right one/s for where you’re at
• Building Your Personal Cyber Lab – Steps for setting up a home lab for learning and practice.
• What Does a <cyber role> Actually Do?” – Explaining the day-to-day role of a common entry-level position.
• Top cyber skills for beginners – skills that make candidates stand out.
• Cyber Resumes– Common resume mistakes and tips for improvement.
• How to Land Your First Job in Cybersecurity” – Key steps to breaking into the field.
• Common Cybersecurity Myths” – Debunking misconceptions about the industry.

I hope some of you will be able to attend, and maybe even spread the word to any friends or colleagues who might find this interesting.
